The Search Begins

Just before my mother died in March 2009 Alice Munro - my favourite author - made one of her biggest headlines ever on receipt of the Man Booker International Prize for an "overall contribution to fiction on the world stage."

So I thought ... what if among my mother's end of life Alzheimer's fired delusions ... and my desperate desire to find her a connection to my passion ... what if my mother believed that she was the sister of Alice Munro. What if I seeded and nurtured that belief.

What if there was a piece of theatre to be carved from that stone ...

The search for a last lost sister began.
